Meet Cody

I have been a proud resident of Huntington Beach for seven years and am also a small business owner. My journey to Huntington Beach began with a vacation that sparked my desire to live and contribute to the community. Although I wasn’t born here, my love for this beautiful city, with its parks, beach, and vibrant small businesses, runs deep.

I was raised by a hardworking mother who dedicated herself to providing my siblings and I with the best life possible. She taught me the values of diligence and kindness, understanding that everyone faces their own challenges. 

I have decided to run for city council in 2024 because I believe our city needs a more inclusive and representative leadership. Recent issues, such as book bans and the prohibition of the pride flag, reflect a shift away from the unity our community deserves. These actions can create a sense of division among residents and send a message that some citizens are less welcome than others. 

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I feel a responsibility to advocate not only for my community but also for other marginalized groups, including immigrants and others facing similar challenges. I am committed to being a voice for the unheard and to fostering a more cohesive community that embraces diversity and inclusivity. Together, we can work towards healing the divisions and building a brighter future for all residents of Huntington Beach.
